During my prenatal vitamin research, I’ve seen a lot of products that either contain low-quality ingredients or lack important nutrients. Prenatalgyn appears to be different. So, let’s take an in-depth look and I’ll explain why Prenatalgyn is my top choice.
The official Prenatalgyn website declares: “Everything your pregnancy needs and more!” As a trusting consumer, I hoped this claim was true. That said, I wasn’t going to believe it without doing my research. Here’s a short description of the ingredients found in Prenatalgyn and the role each ingredient plays:
DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid primarily found in cold water fish. As a primary component of the human brain, DHA plays a crucial role in the growth and development of a baby’s nervous system. Studies have shown that babies receiving prenatal DHA have better cognitive, visual, and motor development.
Folic Acid is essential to the creation and maintenance of healthy cells. Researchers say that 70% of neural tube defects could be prevented if mothers properly supplement with folic acid. 
Calcium builds strong bones in both mothers and babies. If a baby doesn’t get enough calcium, he or she may have restricted skeletal development. Another possibility is that the baby will draw calcium from your bones, which can lead to osteoporosis and other health problems in you.
Iron maintains healthy blood and helps prevent anemia. Proper iron intake reduces the likelihood of pre-term delivery and low birth weight.
Ginger reduces nausea and morning sickness. Because prenatal vitamins often aggravate nausea, I love that Prenatalgyn contains ginger!
Choline not only helps protect against neural tube defects, but also contributes to healthy brain development. Research shows that choline reduces cortisol levels in babies; helping prevent future diseases like diabetes.
Vitamin E is linked to healthy development of a baby’s respiratory system.
Biotin is essential for healthy growth. When mothers take biotin, babies are more likely to develop normally.  Biotin can also help reduce fatigue and depression in the mother.

Probiotic Blend is supposed to reduce the risk of developing gestational diabetes and strengthen the immune system.
Does Prenatalgyn Have the Right Amounts?
While the official website does not disclose the dosages of every ingredient used in Prenatalgyn, it does disclose three dosages that I think are most important:
• Folic Acid – 600 mcg
• Calcium – 1,300 mg
• Iron – 27 mg
I looked up the recommended amounts of these ingredients on the American Pregnancy Association (APA) website and Prenatalgyn has exactly what it should — not one milligram more nor one milligram less. I appreciate this because I’ve seen some prenatal vitamins that use too little or too much of certain ingredients. This can cause more harm than good, or simply have too little of a particular ingredient to provide any real benefit.
Will Prenatalgyn Cause Nausea?
As a mother, you want to give your baby all the essential nutrients. However, cramming all the essential nutrients into “horse pills” can make you sick. This is where the makers of Prenatalgyn have gone the extra mile.
By including ginger, which is proven to reduce nausea, you can keep those nutrients from coming back up again. It seems to be working. I’ve heard women say that Prenatalgyn is the only prenatal vitamin they can keep down.
What’s the Best Way to Take Prenatalgyn?
You’ll be glad to hear that Prenatalgyn is not a horse pill. Instead, it comes in easy-to-swallow capsules that any woman should be able to manage. Since the pills are smaller, you’ll have to take 6 a day, but you don’t have to take them all at once.
According to my research, the best time to take Prenatalgyn is right after a small meal or right before you go to bed. I also suggest washing the pills down with peppermint tea. The APA says peppermint tea can help calm stomach muscles, which can relieve nausea and vomiting.
I wasn’t able to find a ton of customer reviews online, but the ones I did find were very positive. For example, there are 5 reviews on Amazon.com which gave Prenatalgyn an average rating of 4.8 stars out of 5.
What do pregnant women seem to like the most about Prenatalgyn?
• It is higher quality than most prenatal vitamins
• It doesn’t cause nausea, but rather helps relieve it
• It really did make a difference to how good they felt
• It contributed to giving birth to healthy babies
Although Prenatalgyn may cost more than some lower-quality prenatal vitamins, most women agreed the extra cost is worth it.

Is Prenatalgyn the Best Choice?
I like Prenatalgyn’s high-quality formulation of nutrients, most of which are on the APA’s recommended list. I also know for sure that it has the suggested doses of three critical ingredients. It gets good reviews from users and it doesn’t cause nausea like many other prenatal vitamins. That’s huge!
The only real downside I can see is that Prenatalgyn is pricier than some prenatal vitamins. But, if you try it, you may agree with other users that it’s worth the extra cost.
